Works to the Medical Centre, which occupies two converted Victorian Villas in Wilmslow Town Centre, comprised internal refurbishment of the existing premises, together with construction of two new extensions; which were both designed as contemporary additions to the existing building.

Whilst little scope for expansion initially seemed possible; demolition of an existing single storey entrance, enabled Bowker Sadler Architects to devise a two storey extension across the whole rear façade. New accessible consulting rooms and a specialist minor ops suite were provided, with the new lift and ambulant entrance staircase improving access to the Centre as a whole.

To allow continued occupancy and ensure minimal disruption to the centre, carefully considered phased works were carried out within the existing building, including creation of new staff facilities, sub waiting and a larger relocated pharmacy. All works were carried out by Barnes Construction

Major structural works were required within the basement area to provide a new ground floor structure capable of supporting the new ground floor Pharmacy above.
